چکیده
Background: Diabetes mellitus is one of the health problems that growing rapidly today. In Asia, majority population are non-obese with Type 2 Mellitus (T2DM). Two main defects T2DM, insulin resistance and impaired secretion due to reduced pancreatic β cells. Persistent metabolic stress hyperglycemic conditions, causes inflammation islets Langerhans. Interleukin-1β (IL-1β) signaling most frequent pathway inducing cell dysfunction. The bariatric Sleeve Gastrectomy (SG) procedure increases particular hormone which stimulates growth production. Aside from role as a blood glucose regulator, also plays in anti-inflammatory modulation. Omentoplasty can be used wrap organ or tissue structures. Omentum has unique biological functions, including promote regeneration effect. study evaluates effect pancreas procedures on expression serum levels diabetes subjects. Methods: Experimental "post-test control group design" 27 rats was divided into 3 groups: K (control), P1 (Sleeve Gastrectomy), P2 + Omentoplasty). 10 days after procedure, we evaluated cells using monoclonal antibody anti-insulin stain IL-1β rat Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit. Statistical analysis Kruskal Wallis Mann Whitney test. Correlation test Spearman. Results: increased (p=0.020), compared control. While significantly all groups (p<0.001) Moderate negative correlation (r = -0.476) between levels. Conclusion: gastrectomy omentoplasty decreased IL-1 mellitus.

The Effect of High Intensity Intermittent Training (HIIT) on GLP-1R Expression in Pancreas Tissue and Serum Insulin of Male Wistar Rats with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Objective: Insulin secretion and insulin resistance are associated with incidence and severity of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). This study aimed to assess the effect of high intensity intermittent training (HIIT) on GLP-1R expression in pancreas tissue and serum insulin of T2DM rats. Materials and Methods: In this quasi-experimental study, T2DM induced by intraperitoneal injection of strept...

BACKGROUND Data on the effectiveness of sleeve gastrectomy (SG) in improving or resolving type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are scarce. METHODS A 4-month prospective study was conducted on the changes in glucose homeostasis in 35 severely obese T2DM subjects undergoing laparoscopic SG (LSG) and 50 subjects undergoing laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (LRYGBP), matched for DM duration, type ...

BACKGROUND Diabetic cardiomyopathy is an increasingly prevalent health issue, with no specific management options. We examined the impact of weight loss with sleeve gastrectomy on diabetic cardiomyopathy. METHODS Eight obese patients with type 2 diabetes undergoing sleeve gastrectomy had left ventricular (LV) systolic and diastolic function assessed by global longitudinal strain (GLS) and sep...

Background: Low serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D (25(OH)D) has been shown to correlate with an increased risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The objective of this study was to investigate the association between serum 25(OH)D and glycemic and inflammatory markers in non-obese patients with T2DM. Methods: Eighty-four non-obese patients with T2DM were recruited in this cross-sectional study. Demog...
